About the Founder

Valerie Argaut has a scientific background. Graduated as a Chemistry Engineer, she also holds a Master in Biotechnologies from a Bristol University, England. After a couple of years working as a research scientist in Genetic Engineering for Oncology in California, she worked as a senior consultant in the Life Science department for Simon-Kucher & Partners, a leading consultancy company in Pricing and Market Access Strategy.

Valérie Argaut later joined Sanofi Pasteur at their headquarters in Lyon, where she headed the Global Pricing department for 7 years, transversally working with regions, countries, product managers, Finance department, Business Intelligence, Supply, Market Research, R&D and other global functions. She was in charge of global pricing strategy elaboration, validation with top management and policies implementation through a set-up of robust pricing processes.

Based on an extensive experience with EU markets, BRIC countries but also emerging markets, she also supported the Vaccination Policy Department-Public Affairs, advising the management on many specific problematics related to various international organizations, such as Unicef, WHO (World Health Organization), BMGF (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) or GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization).

During her experience in consulting as well as in the industry, spanning diverse international environments and on multiples therapeutic areas, Valérie Argaut carried out complex projects on various problematics linked to the pricing and market access strategy all along the product life cycle, including numerous market research studies. Thus, she developed a cutting-edge expertise of the different methodologies and approaches in these fields, which allowed her to grow an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare environment and of the different healthcare systems worldwide.

Thanks to this strong practical experience gained through numerous interactions with the different functions of the company, she also has a good understanding of difficulties often met by the pharmaceutical industry and of successful ways to optimize the organizations and implement company procedures, processes and policies in relation to the pricing and market access departments.

Thanks to her scientific and technical background and her experience in communicating with top management in a company, Valerie Argaut’s unique asset lies in her capacity to combine a high-level strategic vision and thinking with strong analytical skills and a very hands-on and practical approach.
